Following a crown prep procedure, you will be placed in a temporary for a couple of weeks. Do some salt water rinses, as this will promote healing of the tissue, refrain from sticky foods, but most importantly, chew on the opposite side of the temporary, avoiding it altogether. Dr. Apel has been in practice in Melbourne since 1988. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, he graduated from the University of Louisville’s School of Dental Medicine, a facility for training physicians and dentists. He maintained a successful private practice in Louisville for five years, but Florida’s pleasant climate and the promise of year-round outside activities brought the Apels to the sunshine state.

He also maintains ongoing professional relationships with recognized researchers and clinicians.
