Tooth Extraction Post-Op Instructions
In this video, Amber, our dental assistant, explains the best course of home care after you have a tooth extracted at our office.
Following a tooth extraction, it is important for a blood clot to form to stop the bleeding and to allow for the healing process to begin. We ask that you bite down on a gauze pad for 45 minutes following the procedure. If abnormal bleeding persists, please feel free to bite down on wet gauze for another 30 minutes. It is important to remember the four S’s: no smoking, spitting, sucking through a straw, and no soda. Please feel free to click the link below for a more detailed explanation of your post-op instruction sheet.
